The Democratic Farmer Labor Party (DFL) Senate District 38 is pleased to issue this official DFL Letter of Support to Dr. Teneshia Kragness, a candidate for mayor in the City of Brooklyn Center.
On July 21, 2026, eligible members of the SD38 DFL Central Committee residing within the electoral jurisdiction convened to consider candidates seeking DFL letters of support for this nonpartisan election. After completing the candidate review process and considering the candidate’s qualifications, public service priorities, commitment to the community, and alignment with the principles and values of the Minnesota DFL Party, the committee voted to approve a Letter of Support for Dr. Teneshia Kragness.
The letter was approved by the required affirmative vote of the eligible members present and voting. The committee determined that Dr. Teneshia Kragness demonstrates a commitment to effective local government, inclusive community representation, democratic participation, and service to the residents of Brooklyn Center.
Accordingly, DFL Senate District 38 recognizes Dr. Teneshia Kragness as a recipient of an official DFL Letter of Support for the 2026 election for mayor of Brooklyn Center.
Under the Constitution and Bylaws of the Minnesota DFL Party, a Letter of Support identifies a candidate for nonpartisan public office who supports DFL principles and permits the party organization to support the candidate’s campaign. This Letter of Support does not constitute a DFL endorsement and must not be represented or advertised as an endorsement. Multiple candidates may receive letters of support in the same election.
A Letter of Support issued before the primary remains valid after the primary only if the candidate’s name appears on the general election ballot.
We congratulate Dr. Teneshia Kragness and appreciate her willingness to serve the residents of Brooklyn Center.
